Hi! Thank you for visiting my site about Destin and the sourrounding area.
My family– three boys, my husband and I — moved to the area by choice many years ago. I say this because most people either have a family history here, are military, or had a plan to retire in this area.
With three very active boys, our family has been busy exploring everything possible here ever since we arrived. We love the beaches, water sports or all sorts, boating, fishing, volleyball, amusement parks, hiking and camping, learning about the fascinating animals and vegetation here and of course, relaxing beachside or bayside taking in the amazing views.
This site is a work in progress, with an attempt to share some of what we’ve found so interesting about this part of the Emerald Coast, including the mainland on the other side of the bay from Destin.
There are many who have deeper knowledge about some of what I touch on in this site; if you’re one of those, or just have something wonderful or helpful to add, pleaase do! It can be great insight for visitors and locals alike!
